Food distribution software

Food distribution software without the clipboard line.

Pantry Nexus is food distribution software for the day itself. Households check in by QR, volunteers call numbers from any phone or tablet, and every cart is weighed and counted before you pack up.

What it does

A distribution day on Pantry Nexus

Check-in before the doors open

Post the QR flier at the entrance or along the car line. Households check in on their own phone, in English or Spanish, and get a live number.

One queue on every screen

The desk laptop, a volunteer's phone and the scale touchscreen show the same line and update together.

Pounds counted, not estimated

Scale checkout records the cart weight as each household leaves, so the day's pounds are already added up.

Volunteers in the same place

Volunteers scan in for their shift, hours add up on their own, and duties go out from templates.

  1. 1Put the QR flier at the entrance or the start of the car line.
  2. 2Households check in and get a number on their phone.
  3. 3Volunteers call numbers from whatever screen is free.
  4. 4Weigh each cart at checkout.
  5. 5Close the day with households and pounds already counted.

Built for the site you have today.

Some distributions happen inside a choice pantry. Some happen in a church parking lot, a school gym or a drive-through lane. The hard part is the same: a long line, a few volunteers, and a count that has to be right at the end.

Pantry Nexus runs in the browser. A mobile or drive-through distribution needs only the phones and tablets your team already carries and a data connection. Households do not download an app; they scan the QR code and check in.

When the last car leaves, the dashboard already shows households served and pounds distributed. The report for any month, quarter or fiscal year downloads as PDF or CSV for your board, your food bank and your funders.

Questions, answered

Before your next shift.

01Can we use Pantry Nexus at a mobile or drive-through distribution?

Yes. Any phone, tablet or laptop with a current web browser and a data connection runs the desk, the queue and checkout. Households check in on their own phone.

02Do households need to download an app?

No. They scan the QR code and check in from the phone's web browser, in English or Spanish. A household without a phone checks in at the desk.

03What do we need on site?

A printed QR flier, one device for the desk, and a scale if you weigh carts at checkout. More phones or tablets let more volunteers call numbers.

04How do we get the numbers after the distribution?

The dashboard shows households served and pounds while the line moves. Reports for any month, quarter or fiscal year download as PDF or CSV.

Watch it run a real shift.
