Food bank software

Food bank software for partner pantries, not the warehouse.

Your food bank runs the warehouse. Pantry Nexus runs the floor at the partner pantry: intake, the line, checkout and the numbers you report back.

What it does

A partner pantry day on Pantry Nexus

Not a warehouse system

Pantry Nexus does not do inventory, agency ordering, or TEFAP and USDA reporting. Your food bank's system keeps that work.

Households and visit history

Intake with duplicate checks, and a visit history for each household, so staff see who came and when.

Pounds out, counted at checkout

Scale checkout records each cart's weight, so the pounds you report are counted, not estimated.

Runs on the devices you have

Laptops, tablets, phones and the scale touchscreen show the same line. There is nothing to install.

  1. 1Households check in by QR at the door or at the desk.
  2. 2Intake catches duplicate households before they are entered twice.
  3. 3Volunteers call numbers and run checkout from any device.
  4. 4Each cart is weighed as the visit closes.
  5. 5Download households and pounds for your food bank report.

Where it fits next to your food bank.

Food bank software usually means the warehouse: inventory, agency orders, deliveries and the state reports. Pantry Nexus is not that. It is the tool for the partner pantry, the agency or the distribution site where households actually come through the door.

At that site, the work is intake, the line, checkout and a count at the end of the day. Pantry Nexus keeps those connected: households check in by QR in English or Spanish, volunteers move the queue from any device, and scale checkout counts the pounds as carts leave.

Keep your food bank's system for TEFAP and USDA reporting. Pantry Nexus gives the pantry its own households served and pounds by month, quarter or fiscal year, as PDF or CSV, ready to send back to the food bank.

Questions, answered

Before your next shift.

01Is Pantry Nexus food bank software?

It is software for the front line of a food bank network: partner pantries, agencies and distribution sites. It does not run a food bank's warehouse, inventory or agency ordering.

02Does it replace our food bank's reporting system?

No. Keep your food bank's system for TEFAP and USDA reports. Pantry Nexus runs the floor: intake, the queue, checkout and your team.

03Can several partner sites use it?

Yes. Each pantry gets its own workspace, and database rules keep each pantry's records separate. Talk to us about bringing several sites on together.

04Can we export the numbers our food bank asks for?

Yes. Reports download as PDF or CSV. If your food bank needs a specific format, we can build a custom export case by case for an added fee.
